After a nice stay in Segelvik by Söderhamn, we can try to sail further north. We still have time – two weeks of my vacation – and can reach at least the High Coast, which is worth seeing. We’ll do what the weather allows.
We start by staying longer in Segelvik as we want the swell to subdue. We cast off around noon. The waves are still uncomfortable. Micke started walking on the boat and was checking the situation outside. No photos as we were busy taking care that he doesn’t fall overboard.
After a short sailing we arrive at the island Tarnön. Cats were glad to go off-board, Micke was even the first onshore. In the evening, we had a grill at the very well equipped place, and guitar after that.
On Wednesday, we sail off quite early. First we go under engine and then we try to catch a wind, but it is too weak. We try butterfly and other styles but we never go faster than 3.5kn.
We sail to Hudiksvall which is located in a deep fyord, bunker fuel and supplies and decide what to do more.
Hudiksvall harbor is very well sheltered, it is quite cheap and comfortable. It is unpleasant for the Cats – concrete pier and many people.
