After midsommar – which we spent ashore with our kids this time – I took 3 weeks of vacation. Such a long vacation offered quite a good possibility to make some distance, in our previous sailing adventures. This time, we want to build upon the last year’s experiences and sail north as far as possible – hopefully much further than 2024. The distances we’ll make will be still limited by the fact that we sail with the Cats.
We come by car from home to Lidingö. We sail away from the Bosö boat club in the first short leg to the island Storö. We sail through the chaos of the Vaxholmen area, using engine to maintain maneuverability, We reach Storö in the afternoon and set for the night in its natural harbor, hoping to sail away early morning.
Unfortunately, Micke does not come to the boat in the morning. It takes us a half of the day to incite him to appear and then we need to bring him onboard literally. Such a drawback compared to the previous vacation. But once onboard, both Cats were taking the sailing visibly relaxed.

We spend the following night at the island of Lidö – we were there at midsommar last year. After a pretty relaxing sailing, a sudden gust makes our mooring difficult. The skipper of the neighboring boat holds our mooring line and saves our maneuver.
Our Cats rediscover gladly the island. Contrary to the last year, Kajjan stays close to the boat and allows us to carry him to the boat in the morning.
